La Casa Murillo: A Life-Size Shadow Box

La Casa Murillo, at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, is a life-size creation of Chicano pop artists Patrick Murillo and Kathy Cano-Murillo fantasy abode. The exhibit shows that even with little money it is possible to create a beautiful home.

Housed in the Heard Museum's Lovena Ohl Gallery, the visually stunning and culturally relevant creation is adorned with beautiful decorations, which cost little to nothing. At the heart of the exhibit is the couple's wish to inspire and educate others to create a unique setting. Several public art workshops hosted by the Murillos are scheduled alongside the exhibit at the Museum.
